Humane Society Teams up with CrimeStoppers to Catch Dog Killer
The Humane Society is working with CrimeStoppers to find the person who beat a dog to death. The dog was found dead in west Windsor on March 18 with a serious wound to the head. An investigation and necropsy results determined that a blow to the head with a blunt object was the likely cause of death. The dog was a black with white pit bull, about 1 to 2 years of ago. He was wearing a collar and harness, and a dog license tag that belonged to another dog. The incident likely took place within the week prior to the dog being found.
Animal abusers rarely stop with the first crime, and often move on to more serious crimes against people. As a result, the Humane Society and supporters of Advocates for the Underdogs have offered to top up the usual CrimeStoppers reward, providing an added incentive to anyone who may have information about this crime. CrimeStoppers tipsters remain completely anonymous, and receive cash for their tip.
Anyone with any information about this crime is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 519-258-8477, or the Humane Society at 519-966-5751.
